KASHMIR ACADEMY/PROGRAMS/DAVINCI CHALLENGE

SUPERHERO DRONE GIRLS

Learn to design, fabricate and operate your drone in this hands-on collaborative workshop.

DaVinci Challenge: Build a Drone Workshop for SuperHERo program provides girls the opportunity to combine science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) learning with leadership development, innovation, and entrepreneurship in a flexible, informal environment that supports exploration and experimentation with an innovative, hands-on workshop that teaches them not only to build and fly drones, but also create useful tools. Our program focuses on fostering excitement in girls and young women about STEAM education by introducing ways that drones can benefit our world, such as wildlife conservation, agriculture, and humanitarian efforts. Through our workshops, we have discovered that girls are inspired by specific causes for which they can use the drone to help make a difference in the world, which peeks their excitement and interest in STEM.
